My Latest article over on squidoo discusses the various options you have available to you if you are suffering an Ant invasion in your home. I live in a quite rural area and in the summer we are plagued by black Ants especially in the kitchen. That's why I have decided to write an article on How To Get Rid Of Ants. They seem to get into everything. We've tried many different insecticides and Ant killers over the years but finally the only one we've found that really wipes out the Ant colonies that infest our garden was Ant gel.

The great thing about using Ant gels is that they take it back to their colonies and it then kills them all. A very final solution to our Ant problem. Next year they will have re-established themselves again but the gel can be used again and is very effective.

We have had to be using Ant traps that contain gel as we were worried about our dogs getting sick by eating it. The traps are much better as you can place them anywhere. We like to put them in the kitchen along the line of their march to make sure we get them.

Please, please remember if you are putting down insecticides anywhere around your home or garden make sure they are pet and children safe. The last thing you want to do is harm any of your family members just to get rid of Ants.
